Welcome to “Save the Chickens!”, a retro-inspired first-person shooter with a twist: it runs at a ridiculously tiny 256x144 resolution. Every pixel matters as you navigate claustrophobic mazes, dodge traps, and outwit the menacing butcher who stalks you with knife in hand.
Armed only with quick reflexes and courage, you’ll race through a grotesquely funny industrial slaughterhouse, rescuing terrified chickens before they end up as fast-food nuggets. With its mix of fake 3D visuals, pixel-perfect art, absurd humor, and nostalgic CRT effects, the game delivers an experience that’s equal parts parody, retro love letter, and technical challenge.
It’s ridiculous. It’s darkly hilarious. And it proves that constraints can spark true creativity.
